How Do I Know What Size Van I Need?

As a general guide, if you are moving a house or flat you will probably need a long wheel based Luton or a box van. Both of these vans have a large amount of storage space and have a tail lift that will help you load heavy or awkward items.
If you are undertaking a smaller move, or furniture shopping for example, then both the short wheel based transit and the long wheel based transit will fit a sofa quite comfortably.

Based in Wandsworth, south London since 1979, Hunt Trucks is a family run business. Our company has an established reputation for providing a reliable and friendly van and truck hire service to customers and businesses throughout the south and central London area.
We are happy to provide credit accounts for our business customers and offer discounts of 25% for weekly hire and 35% for monthly hire. Please contact us if you are interested in commercial van hire.
All of our vans are serviced regularly, to the manufacturer’s specifications, in our own fully equipped workshop and are thoroughly cleaned before every hire.
To fit in with your schedule we are open seven days a week at the following times:
- Monday to Friday 08:00 through to 18:00
- Saturday 08:00 through to 12:00 noon
- Sunday 09:00 through to 12:00 noon
Insurance Requirements
- Drivers identification required, driving licence and any two of the following: credit/debit card, passport, and utility bill.
- Drivers must be aged between 21 and 70 years. For 7.5 tonnes drivers must be over 25 years and licence must be dated before 1st Jan 1997, if later must have group C1 on licence.
- A £400.00 deposit is required. The deposit will be wholly or partially retained in the event of damage to our vehicle or an accident. Otherwise it will be refunded in full. This liability can be reduced to £50 by paying from £15 for collision damage waiver.
- Drivers shall be required to check and sign a rental agreement.
